Yoga in Provencher Park started today and it was nice and sunny in St. Boniface for the duration of our 45 minute practice!!! Four students attended and it was a bit noisy because of the traffic but we all enjoyed the nice breeze and the sun peeking through the leaves of the surrounding trees! If you’re planning to attend the August upcoming classes in the park, it would be a good a idea to bring an old beach towel to place under your yoga mat. Unfortunately, our mats were a little dirty from the concrete surface but otherwise it was great!
See details below for upcoming classes:
Thursdays at noon until 12:45, and Saturdays from 10-11 am, Aug 4 until Aug 27, please join me for karma (free) yoga classes in Provencher Park (on the concrete pad at the corner of Provencher & Langevin). Karma classes are typically donation-based, however, I am offering free classes as a way to give back to the community!
Classes will be Vinyasa Flow style. Suitable for beginners and all levels are welcome. Please bring your yoga mat and a water bottle (and perhaps a friend or two) and remember it’s best to give yourself at least 2 hours to digest meals or snacks before coming to a yoga class.
For safety reasons classes will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather at the yoga teacher’s discretion (that’s me!). I’ll be putting updates on my Facebook page or you can call or text me at 204-291-0439 for the latest info. If it’s very hot and humid I may also cancel the class since heat exhaustion is not on the program. :-)
